<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The FLUX Pumps name has been synonymous with pump technology for more than 70 years. It was the invention of the first electric drum pump that sparked the creation of the company. Since its inception, FLUX, headquartered in the beautiful black forest region of southern Germany, has grown to employ more than 150 highly skilled men and women worldwide, established seven wholly-owned subsidiaries, and maintains sales partnerships in more than 70 countries.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One of those wholly owned subsidiaries, </span><a href="https://www.fluxpumpsusa.com/en-US/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">FLUX Pumps Corporation North America</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, anchored in Georgia, services the United States, Canada and Mexico, and began working with Ad Victoriam Solutions (AdVic</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">®</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">) in early 2015 (our second customer!) and remains a top customer today as one of our Managed Services partners.</span></p>
<h3><strong>Initial Projects</strong></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The FLUX Pumps team was made up of nine members that served approximately 3,000 distributors. Their process of communications and customer relations was nonexistent, yet they were about to send out invoices. Their process was manual, complex and outdated. Technology was not incorporated into it. Reps used scanners and business cards that were stored in shoe boxes as their CRM.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">AdVic’s initial project was to implement a necessary Salesforce Sales Cloud</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> solution. From this, FLUX Pumps’ sales cycle</span> <b><i>was cut in half</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;">. They were awarded efficiency, visibility, and automation with their introductory </span><a href="/digital-transformation/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">digital transformation</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. FLUX achieved great milestones that included doubled conversions, </span><b><i>a 20% increase in revenue</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and a way to nurture leads that turned into customers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With technology that empowered reps, AdVic® has helped FLUX Pumps become leaders in their field.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition to the success of the Sales Cloud, we helped implement Marketing Cloud Account Engagement as a way to drive new business. FLUX Pumps uses marketing automation to send monthly emails to customers. Prior to this technology, </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">they were only able to communicate with a small fraction of customers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">FLUX North American Former President, Pete Fujimoto, expressed his excitement and satisfaction with AdVic this way: “Opportunities increased for us by 50% in the first year. We used to get 10 opportunities a month, now we’re getting 20 or more.” And Pete admitted, at the time, that they are still in their infancy with their AdVic/Salesforce solution: “There is more and more that we can do to grow.”</span></p>

<h3><b>Partnership Extends Across the Pond</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">AdVic’s relationship continued with </span><a href="https://www.flux-pumps.com/de-DE/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">FLUX’s Germany team</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> to create one-directional and bi-directional syncs. With this integration, their team moved from working in two systems, to just Salesforce®. On a nightly basis, contacts and opportunity line items are transferred between systems. On a shorter sync, products and opportunities are created and transferred every five minutes.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Before the integration, their U.S. team swiveled between systems, and used their team in Germany to gain information. Now, all of their data is in Salesforce and all teams have immediate access.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">During the time of the integration, AdVic consulted FLUX on the best fit solutions possible. We listened carefully to their needs as to what information required to be exchanged between systems to ensure maximum efficiency on the first shot.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Syncs were tested every other day up until the official go live.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In addition to this integration, we also built-out a method for dynamically adding and removing fields to the integration. Users with admin access had the ability to go into the setup object to configure the integration without the use of code. This empowered their team to change their org whenever needed.</span></p>

<h3><b>Why Did They Choose AdVic?&nbsp;</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Already equipped with a legacy system that catered to their business needs, Residential Elevators needed a system that offered even more. Their legacy system had functionality around scheduling and mapping on mobile, however, AdVic</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">®</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> and Salesforce</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">®</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> offered an even better solution.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Luckily, Residential Elevators had a digital system that stored and maintained their data, however when they decided to pivot to a better system, Salesforce, they ran into the challenge of mapping the processes and the mapping of all the historical data that we had into a new system.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It is very common for organizations to undergo data migrations at some point in their development, and of course, poor planning and lack of resources contribute to slow user adoption, but AdVic prevents that.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Moving data from one place to another is challenging. It can be a costly, time-consuming, and complex venture. We do our best to ensure that this process is as seamless as possible by providing teams with the right tools to succeed.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Another challenge that many organizations face when undergoing digital transformation is stakeholder buy-in. For Residential Elevators, it is the same thing. With the help of AdVic, WebEx, and Zoom calls, we were able to continually sail through the process of the benefit that we&#8217;re going to get at the end. Initially, the adoption rate was tough, but making it easy by having everybody trained and part of the process was impactful.</span></p>
<h3><b>A View From Customer Service&nbsp;</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With the help of AdVic, the customer experience has also advanced. Initially, the Customer Service team at Residential Elevators had a difficult time viewing customer data as a whole. Their new system allows a much better visual representation of the overall customer process and what the customer has done with them from start to finish. In addition, tying in some other ancillary components outside of Salesforce and integrating those into Salesforce has helped their team.</span></p>
<h3><b>Efficiency in Business</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Residential Elevators’ biggest increase in efficiency comes from the mobile side, which gives their field service technicians the ability to do all their work on a mobile platform they call an “E tool,” which is a mini laptop and can process the payments and everything right there from the phone, and has helped that process grow and evolve.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Before they used to have to pull out a small “E tool” kit, a small laptop, and do all of their work on that using a thick client that would integrate back into their home systems or would data sync at certain periods back into their home system, where this is more real-time, no real synchronization other than the app, of course, but this is a more real-time information strand that they get to see as they&#8217;re going out to that customer&#8217;s job site.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Efficiency for technicians also means efficiency and satisfaction for customers. Techs are equipped with customers’ history with the company before even stepping on-site allowing them to be knowledgeable about the customer and their needs.&nbsp;</span></p>
<h3><b>Where Are They Now?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As previously mentioned, migrating from one system to another is a challenge within itself, but when done right it can transform the way employees work for the better. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In need of a solution for their rapidly growing business, our customer called on AdVic® to assist with staff augmentation for their Salesforce® org. While their business adjusted to growth, they were in need of “run-the-business” work to set revenue goals and implement the right technology for their strategy.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the midst of the initial project, our customer acquired another company. and needed to merge orgs. Along the way, AdVic’s consultants found gaps in their technology infrastructure that needed to be filled. The most outstanding was their lack of process for requirement gathering. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Our customer’s initial assignment quickly transformed into a multi-product operation when they acquired the new company. On the surface, this seems like an effortless process, however, combining two orgs into one, including different processes, objects, and automation, requires a deep reflection of future business goals. Together, AdVic and our customer combed through data, gathered insight, and began the process of building the perfect CRM for our customer.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Another gap in our customer’s technology was the lack of flexibility in their CPQ functionality. That is when AdVic applied multidimensional quoting to their org.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With the flexibility provided by multidimensional quoting and the efforts of the AdVic team, a number of common deal blockers were systematically resolved. This allowed our customer’s team to close deals in record time.&nbsp;</span></p>
<h3><b>Relationship Formation</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Once the go-live of our customer’s CPQ rebuild was complete, AdVic remained close to our customer to tend to any changes, new projects, or quick fixes that may have been needed to be done… and they did. Our customer needed to push to Production on their org on a weekend.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to our customer’s’s Salesforce Platform Manager, “The timing of this push was perfect since the Revenue Accounting team would be ramping up Opportunity review starting on Monday, January 31. This fix reduced 90% of the work that one full-time Sales Ops employee was doing to manually fix rejected Opportunity data. It also drastically reduced the Revenue Accounting team’s time spent working back and forth with Sales Ops (and IT) on the fixes. As a result, the Revenue Accounting team was able to complete all Deal reviews and successfully sync January Opps to NetSuite by February 2 at 2 p.m. PT.”</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Salesforce Platinum Manager added, “This is the fastest their team had ever completed deal review at Month End. In addition to improving close velocity, we are restoring trust in the system and creating light at the end of the tunnel for the teams that have suffered from these bugs for 15 months.”</span></p>
<h3><b>Relationship Turns to Partnership</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">AdVic’s relationship with our customer began as just a simple Staff Augmentation for their Salesforce org. However, that relationship has since transformed into a partnership that empowers our customer across all departments. Initially, our customer’s platform lacked processes, automation, and multidimensional elements. AdVic assisted our customer with systematic requirement gathering, built-out custom CPQ quoting, along with a custom Conga form that accelerated closing, increased productivity, and merged Salesforce orgs as needed. Today, AdVic maintains a close relationship with our customer’s leaders, and keeps a close eye on their Salesforce platform to ensure their platform continues to align with their business.</span></p>

They had an antiquated, homegrown system called Business Platform (still in-service for now) that sorely needed a modern, more functional interface &#8211; and had a seamless mobile experience, too.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To get there, the client knew they had to start offering services to their merchants and their partners’ merchants (<a href="/salesforce-commerce-cloud/">B2B and B2C</a>) to remain competitive. Specifically, the payment gateway provider had a wish list that included:</span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Supplying their customers with a device that swipes credit cards in their brick and mortar stores.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The ability to accept online transactions.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Offer self-service options to their merchants.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Implement modern APIs that allow them to do more for themselves and their customers.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Offer the latest touchless pay terminals.</span></li>
</ul>
<h3><b>The Back Story</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Prior to working with AdVic, the client, a company that enables a global network of merchants to accept payments anywhere and easily manage all on one platform, had executive advisors recommended that they have a road-mapping strategy to help them securely do business in multiple channels including online, mobile, and in-person.&nbsp;</span></p>

That way, all of their merchants can log in and see all of their transactions, see what plan they are on, onboard quickly, request equipment, etc.&nbsp;</span></p>

As a result, the relationship advanced into a strategic partnership, whereby the client continues to rely on AdVic as an extension of their business today.</span></p>
<h3><b>Platform Thrives with Managed Services&nbsp;</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In an effort to have an easy transition during the post-go live phase, this client signed their first-annual </span><a href="/services/managed-services-for-salesforce/"><span style="font-weight: 400;">managed services agreement with AdVic</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, which is now on it’s third renewal.&nbsp;</span></p>

Once their admin went on maternity leave, AdVic was hired for managed services. While covering for their Salesforce Admin, solutions to effectively enhance the use of their&nbsp; Salesforce platform were identified. With direct access to this information, leadership was able to make smart decisions based on findings to maximize their platform usage.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><b>How did the Salesforce Implementation impact your sales process, opportunity forecasting, and goals?&nbsp;</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“The Salesforce Mobile app has made it possible for our team to capture accurate store-level data while in the field. Salesforce provides an excellent reporting dashboard, so the real-time data that is now captured is at our fingertips.&nbsp; Our team is universally ecstatic with having reliable, easy to use mobile app &#8211; because our sales goals are now easier to achieve.”</span></p>
<p><b>How are sales reps using the platform for better targeting?&nbsp;</b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">“Pardot was key to engaging with new customers. Now equipped with the right marketing tactics and strategies, our company’s sales representatives were able to draft marketing plans that targeted engaged customers &#8211; those prospects that are “ready to go.” With a goal of 15.4%-22% closing, sales reps are now provided with critical information to achieve this mark.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The company lacked the data they needed to accurately forecast product needs &#8211; this impeded their ability to provide leadership with an accurate future financial view of sales. By implementing Tableau, the company is now able to upload raw data into the system and have Einstein work its magic to provide a forward looking forecast for financial analytics. This once manual task, taking 25-hours, now takes one-hour!</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Before partnering with Salesforce and AdVic, the company was never able to conduct a true market analysis of 180,000 convenience stores they were looking to potentially partner with in an “affordable and scalable way,” the company rep remarks.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>

This health sector company’s difficulties centered around their inability to work efficiently and effectively with their legacy case management system. They knew it was holding back their productivity, as it was clunky, slow, and required a lot of work arounds, plus it also had search and security limitations. <ul class="wp-block-list"><li>Migrated more than 200K case records/fields from multiple tables into Salesforce® after an extensive data cleansing process which significantly increased data integrity and usability.</li><li>Configured Sales and Service Cloud enabling clients to decrease reliance on manual process for safety screenings and customer questionnaires.</li><li>Built custom provider ranking and search functionality, which displayed best-fit providers based on geographic location (point to point rather than Zip Code-based), feedback, gender, and session allotment/utilization, etc.</li><li>HIPAA-compliant safeguards established, including password-protected authorization sheet transfer (Salesforce to Provider), and security event monitoring to quickly detect breaches.</li><li>Linked people records to families through Health Cloud’s Household functionality to establish patient/family record access levels based on patient permissions.</li><li>Tailored dashboards by client to furnish service utilization data to each customer.</li></ul>

In the end, we quickly and successfully resolved all of them. Doing so allowed them to make smarter decisions with <a href="https://youtu.be/K-SMR9CmsL4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">360-degree data</a> to help drive sales and recapture market share.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The Three-Prong Challenge</h3>

<p>The first AdVic challenge centered around this healthcare organization’s sales team’s lack of access to 360-degree, up-to-date data as they visited clinics nationwide.  This was causing them to lose market share.</p>

<p>The company also needed an effective sales tool to attract and engage new hires to combat its high employee attrition rate.</p>

<p>And lastly, management needed to automate processes and increase visibility into key referral KPI’s. Their goal was to decrease manual intervention and make smarter decisions.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Steps to Resolution</h3>

<p>AdVic’s resolution was the implementation and integration of Salesforce <a href="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/salesforce-crm-for-healthcare/" rel="noreferrer noopener">Health Cloud</a><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> and <a href="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/5-reasons-your-team-needs-salesforce-maps/" rel="noreferrer noopener">Maps</a><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/2122.png" alt="™" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> with the Client&#8217;s back-office system. It was complemented by these carefully-crafted additional steps:</p>

<li>Integration of clinical data with the Client&#8217;s patient and physician referral data – based on HIPPA guidelines. This provided needed visibility for sales reps to combat lost market share.</li>
</ul>

<li>Connected physician data through Person Accounts to Clinic Accounts and corresponding patient data. The exposure of referral KPI’s, based on patient-physician relationships linked to the Clinic Accounts, provided management with desired data insights in dashboards to drive performance and business decisions.</li>
<li>Created data layers for clinics within <a href="/blog/podcast-increase-sales-service-productivity-with-salesforce-maps/">Salesforce Maps </a>to give the sales team productive meeting schedules and easy access to top data points that accelerated productivity.</li>
