<p><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-22085 size-large" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Salesforce-Winter-25-Release-1024x535.png" alt="Salesforce Winter 2025 Release Features - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="640" height="334" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To help get you ready for the release &#8211; <a href="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/blog/podcast-top-new-features-for-admins-inside-salesforces-winter-25-release/">on a recent Ad Victoriam Salesforce Simplified podcast</a></span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> &#8211; we spoke with  </span><a href="https://www.salesforceben.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Salesforce Ben</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8216;s Technical Content Director and 11X Salesforce-Certified Evangelist </span><a href="https://bit.ly/3UI8jjK" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Christine Marshall</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> about some of her favorite new features in the Salesforce Winter &#8217;25 Release. Here are the seven she selected for AdVic</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">®</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<h3><b>1. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sales_feature_core_accounts_account_plans.htm&amp;release=252&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Optimize Your Strategic Planning with Account Plans</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Nurture existing relationships and grow key accounts strategically with Account Plans. You can research and analyze accounts, set objectives with actionable metrics, and keep tabs on growth and development, all from one repository within Salesforce.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions and Einstein 1 Sales Edition.</span></p>
<p><b>When: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This feature will be available in production on a rolling basis after the Winter ’25 release is complete and available to all customers by October 29, 2024. The feature is only accessible in sandboxes after it’s available in production. To see the feature in sandboxes, run the Match Production Licenses tool or request a refresh after the feature is available in production.</span></p>
<p><b>Why: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">To maximize revenue potential and invest in your customers’ goals and challenges, track all your strategic planning with Account Plans.</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-22086 size-full" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Optimize.png" alt="Optimize Your Strategic Planning with Account Plans - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="802" height="419" /></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Go to the new Account Plans page in Setup and turn on Account Plans. Then, configure the Account Plans object in the Object Manager, add the Account Plans related list to the Account object, and optionally set up Relationship Maps.</span></p>
<h3><b>2.</b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lab_dynamic_highlights_panel.htm&amp;release=252&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b> Configure Record Highlights in Lightning App Builder</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Use the new Dynamic Highlights Panel to configure your most important fields right in the Lightning App Builder. Previously, you could only configure fields in the Highlights Panel by using compact layouts in Setup. The Dynamic Highlights Panel can contain up to 12 fields. </span></p>
<p><b>Where:</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Dynamic Highlights Panel is responsive. When you change the size of your browser window, your information stays visible and wraps instead of being truncated. You can also use visibility rules to show and hide fields in the panel.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Dynamic Highlights Panel is a container for fields just like a Field Section. You can find it on the Fields tab in the Lightning App Builder.</span></p>
<p><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-22087 size-full" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Configure-Record-Highlights.png" alt="Configure Record Highlights in Lightning App Builder - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="285" height="427" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">You can also customize the actions that appear in the panel. The Dynamic Highlights Panel uses dynamic actions by default and is supported for all LWC-enabled objects. For a list of LWC-enabled objects, see </span><a href="https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/component-library/documentation/en/lwc/migrate_lwc" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">LWC Migration for Record Home Pages</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Your users can see the Dynamic Highlights Panel immediately on desktop, but for it to appear on mobile record pages, you must enable it from Setup | Salesforce Mobile App | Dynamic Forms and Dynamic Highlights Panel on Mobile.</span></p>
<h3><b>3. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lab_conditional_field_formatting.htm&amp;release=252&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Make Record Fields Stand Out with Conditional Formatting</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Apply formatting to fields to help users quickly identify the most relevant information on a record page. In Lightning App Builder, give fields on Dynamic Forms-enabled pages custom icons and colors that can appear, disappear, and change color based on the criteria and rules that you define. The conditions can be based on the field&#8217;s value or the values of other fields on the page. You can view, edit, and delete rulesets for an object with the new Conditional Field Formatting node in Object Manager. </span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions</span></p>
<p><b>When: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This functionality is available on a rolling basis starting with pre-release and sandbox orgs in early September 2024.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Conditional formatting uses rulesets, which are collections of rules. Each rule is made up of conditions that determine how and when formatting appears on a field. To apply conditional formatting to a field, open a Dynamic Forms-enabled record page in the Lightning App Builder and click the field on the canvas. In the field&#8217;s property panel, use the Conditional Formatting property to assign an existing ruleset or to create one.</span></p>
<h3><b>4.</b> <a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_rd_reports_formula_generation.htm&amp;release=252&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Add Calculated Fields to Your Lightning Reports with Einstein Generative AI</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Customizing reports to meet your business needs is easier when Einstein Report Formula Generation assists with the technical work of creating row-level and summary formulas. Describe a calculation in simple terms, and Einstein discovers the relevant data and suggests a formula. Previously, constructing formulas for calculated fields required expertise in data models, objects and fields, available functions, and the various limitations of data types and formula types.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions with Einstein 1 Sales Edition or Einstein 1 Service Edition and the DC Report GPT add-on. Einstein generative AI is available in Lightning Experience.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Einstein Setup</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and then select it. Enable Turn on Einstein.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When editing a report, select Create Formula in the Fields panel, or select Add Summary Formula or Add Row-Level Formula in the Columns menu.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-22088 size-large" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Add-Calculated-Fields1-882x1024.png" alt="Add Calculated Fields to Your Lightning Reports with Einstein Generative AI - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="640" height="743" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the formula builder, on the Einstein tab (1), describe the calculation that you want (2). You can ask questions such as, “How many days did it take each opportunity to close?” or “After deducting taxes and expenses, what are our net earnings?” If the Einstein formula looks good, click Insert Formula (3) and Einstein fills in all the fields for you (4).</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-22089 size-large" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Add-Calculated-Fields2-1024x498.png" alt="Add Calculated Fields to Your Lightning Reports with Einstein Generative AI - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="640" height="311" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Feedback can help us improve, and it’s greatly appreciated. Access the thumbs up and thumbs down icons by hovering on Einstein’s response.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-22090 size-large" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Add-Calculated-Fields3-1024x517.png" alt="Add Calculated Fields to Your Lightning Reports with Einstein Generative AI - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="640" height="323" /></p>
<h3><b>5. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_enhanced_user_list_view.htm&amp;release=252&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Make Inline Edits with the Enhanced User List View</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">You can now view, sort, and filter user records in a list format and directly modify new entries inline. Quickly update and modify records and simplify this experience without navigating away from the list view. </span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in all editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Users</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, and then select User Management Settings. Enable Enhanced User List View. Select Users to view the enhanced page.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-22091 size-full" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Make-Inline-Edits.png" alt="Make Inline Edits with the Enhanced User List View - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="800" height="292" /></p>
<h3><b>6.</b> <a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_permissions_granted_by.htm&amp;release=252&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Get Insight into How a User’s Permissions Are Granted</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">To simplify user management, you now have visibility into the profile, permission sets, and permission set groups that grant permissions to a specific user. This information about a user’s assigned object, field, user, and custom permissions is available in the User Access Summary. Previously, troubleshooting where a user’s permissions came from required multiple queries or steps. Now you can get this information with a few clicks.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in all editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select Users. Select a user, and then click View Summary. To see how an individual permission was granted, click the row-level action, and then click Access Granted By.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-22092 size-full" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Get-Insight-Into.png" alt="Get Insight into How a User’s Permissions Are Granted - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="800" height="375" /></p>
<h3><b>7. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_permissions_object_summary.htm&amp;release=252&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>See How Object Access Is Granted in Object Manager</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Get a comprehensive view of the permission sets, permission set groups, and profiles that grant access to an object, and the level of access granted. Use the read-only Object Access Summary in Object Manager to quickly check object permissions when troubleshooting, completing reviews, or determining how to grant user access.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in all editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">In Setup, go to Object Manager, and then select an object. In the sidebar, click Object Access.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-22093 size-full" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/See-How-Object-Access.png" alt="See How Object Access Is Granted in Object Manager - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="800" height="410" /></p>

Here are the eight she selected for AdVic</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">®</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<h3><b>1. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_automate_flow_builder_automation_lightning_app.htm&amp;release=250&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Manage Your Flows More Efficiently with the Automation Lightning App</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">View and monitor your flows in the Automation Lightning app, which is now available to all flow admins and other users that you grant access to. From the app, you can create flows or open any flow that you have permission to access in Flow Builder. New list views show your most recently modified flows and flow definitions that include errors. Search for flows using a keyword in the flow label. Filter or sort flows by type, progress status, last modified date, last modifying user, and associated record fields. Additionally, find a direct link to the Trailblazer Community and to relevant learning material on Trailhead.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic in Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the App Launcher, search for Automation and select the Automation app. If you don’t see the app, go to Process Automation Settings in Setup, and select Enable the Automation Lightning App.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-21680 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Automation-Lightning-App-1.png" alt="Automation Lightning App - Salesforce Summer '24 Release" width="1335" height="796" /></p>
<h3><b>2. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_automate_flow_builder_get_help_building_flows_with_einstein_for_flow.htm&amp;release=250&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Let Einstein Build a Draft Flow for You</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Reach your automation goals with Einstein by describing what you want to automate and letting Einstein generative AI handle the heavy lifting. From the description you provide, Einstein creates a draft flow with elements and resources to get you started.</span></p>
<p><b>Where:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This change applies to Lightning Experience.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8211; All Einstein 1 Editions</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8211; Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Einstein 1 Editions with the Einstein for Sales, Einstein for Service, or Einstein for Platform add-on.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br /></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8211; Einstein generative AI is available in Lightning Experience.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To purchase Einstein for Sales, Einstein for Platform, or Einstein for Service add-ons, contact your Salesforce account executive.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">From the Flows section in Setup, click New Flow (see image below), or from the Automation Lightning app, then click New. Next, select Let Einstein Help You Build and then click Next.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-21681 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Einstein-Flow-2.png" alt="Einstein Flow - Salesforce Summer '24 Release" width="800" height="274" /></p>
<h3><b>3. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_customization_general_fix_formula.htm&amp;release=250&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Fix Formula Syntax Errors with Einstein for Formulas</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Einstein for Formulas now helps you fix syntax errors in a formula in addition to providing an explanation for a formula that’s used in Formula fields, default field values, and record validation rules. Create a formula or use an existing Salesforce formula in the Formula Editor and get an explanation generated. For any syntax errors in the formula, use the fixed formula suggested by Einstein.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions. Einstein generative AI is available in Lightning Experience.</span></p>
<p><b>Why: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">The formula syntax checker identifies syntax errors in a formula but doesn’t provide a solution to fix them. Einstein for Formulas addresses this limitation by providing a fixed formula that you can use in the Formula Editor.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">To fix a syntax error in a formula you entered in the Formula Editor, click Use Formula Assistant and Einstein suggests a fixed formula for you.</span></p>
<h3><b>4. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_customization_general_addfield_to_df.htm&amp;release=250&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Add New Custom Fields to Dynamic Forms-Enabled Pages</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Quickly and easily add a new custom field to your Dynamic Forms-enabled pages by using a new step in the custom-field creation wizard.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Create a custom field as usual in Setup. After setting field-level security, you see the new step to select which Lightning record pages to add the field to.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-21682 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Add-New-Custom-Fields-4.png" alt="Add New Custom Fields - Salesforce Summer '24 Release" width="845" height="428" /></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The new field is added to each record page you select as the last field in the first field section on the page.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If there aren&#8217;t any Dynamic Forms-enabled pages for the object for which the field is being created, then the new step doesn&#8217;t appear.</span></p>
<h3><b>5. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lab_df_blank_space.htm&amp;release=250&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Use Blank Spaces to Align Fields on Dynamic Forms-Enabled Pages</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Customize field alignment in Dynamic Forms field sections with the new Blank Space component. Find it on the Fields tab when viewing Dynamic Forms-enabled Lightning record pages in the Lightning App Builder. You can use a blank space on its own to separate fields vertically inside a field section. To further enhance the alignment of your field section content, you can also use a blank space in conjunction with the field section property Align fields horizontally. We delivered this feature thanks to your ideas on IdeaExchange.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">For example, these two versions of the same field section contain account fields, with a blank space added below the Phone field. The left image shows the default behavior without Align fields horizontally selected. The blank space appears with a single-row height.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the right, the horizontal alignment setting was selected, causing the Website field to stay aligned horizontally with the Parent Account instead of collapsing upward. The blank space height is now expanded to align with the row height of its neighbor, Billing Address.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-21684" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Use-Blank-Spaces-5.png" alt="" width="1320" height="494" /></p>
<h3><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>6</strong>. </span><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lab_conditional_visibiliy_tab.htm&amp;release=250&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Set Conditional Visibility for Individual Tabs in Lightning App Builder</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Customize tab visibility in the Lightning App Builder according to your business needs. You can set the conditions to dynamically show or hide an individual tab in the Tabs component. This change applies to tabs on LWC-enabled record pages. We delivered this feature thanks to your ideas on IdeaExchange.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Professional, Enterprise, Unlimited, Pro Suite, and Developer editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">For a complete list of LWC-enabled objects, see </span><a href="https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/platform/lwc/guide/migrate-lwc.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">LWC Migration for Record Home Pages</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<h3><b>7. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_permissions_perm_set_summary.htm&amp;release=250&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>See What’s Enabled in Permission Sets and Permission Set Groups (Generally Available)</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> It can be tricky to track all the permissions included in your permission sets and permission set groups. To make managing your users’ access easier, you can now see all enabled object, user, field, and custom permissions on one page. You can also see which permission set groups include the permission set and vice versa. This feature, now generally available, includes some changes since the beta release. The summary page has an improved interface, and we added the ability to see included custom permissions and permission sets in permission set groups. We delivered this feature thanks to your ideas on IdeaExchange.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) in all editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select Permission Sets. Or, enter Permission Set Groups, and then select Permission Set Groups. Select a permission set or permission set group, and then click View Summary.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-21686 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Permission-Sets-7.png" alt="Permission Sets - Salesforce Summer '24 Release" width="700" height="532" /></p>
<h3><b>8.</b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_permisions_user_access.htm&amp;release=250&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b> Get a Summary of a User’s Permissions and Access</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> If you&#8217;ve wondered what permissions, public groups, or queues a user is assigned, you&#8217;re in luck. With the User Access Summary, you can see this information directly from the user’s detail page, saving you time, clicks, and effort. There’s no need to run queries or look through each profile, permission set, public group, or queue when troubleshooting or managing access. We delivered this feature thanks to your ideas on IdeaExchange.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience and Salesforce Classic (not available in all orgs) in all editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select Users. Select a user, and then click View Summary.</span></p>

Here are the six she selected for AdVic</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">®</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<h3><b>1. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lab_dynamic_forms_crossobject_fields.htm&amp;release=248&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>New Dynamic Forms with Related Object Fields</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Drill into lookup relationship fields from the component palette in the Lightning App Builder and access fields from related objects. To display relevant data from related objects, drag the cross-object fields onto your record page.
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">We made some small enhancements to the Lightning App Builder UI to help you navigate through relationship fields.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">On the Fields tab, a breadcrumb at the top shows the spans that you drilled into. The top-level breadcrumb indicates the object that the page is associated with.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Cross-object relationship fields have an arrow icon (&gt;). You can drag them onto the page as is, or click the arrow icon to drill in.</span></p>

<h3><b>2. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lab_df_visibility_rules_on_fields.htm&amp;release=248&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Device-Specific Salesforce Dynamic Forms</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Previously, you could set visibility rules based on device form factor on Field Sections and other components but not on individual fields. Now, you can customize your desktop and mobile Lightning record pages even more granularly and restrict field visibility by device form factor, such as desktop or phone.</span></p>
<p><b>Where:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">On a Dynamic Forms-enabled page in the Lightning App Builder, select a field on the canvas. <p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">See account activity, scan opportunity metrics, review cases, and log activities, all in one place in the Account Intelligence view. <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Right on schedule, Salesforce® is releasing a new wave of features and upgrades in their </span><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.salesforce_release_notes.htm&amp;release=246&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Winter &#8217;24 Release</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. These new features will support your goals so that your organization can more effectively and efficiently stay relative. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As per usual, depending on your instance of Salesforce, the </span><a href="https://www.salesforceben.com/salesforce-winter-24-release-date-preview-information/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">first main release weekend for the Winter &#8217;24 Release was September 1, 2023</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">, with subsequent release weekends scheduled for October 6, 2023 and October 13, 2023. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To help you get ready for the release, <a href="/blog/podcast-highlights-from-the-salesforce-winter-24-release/">we spoke</a> with </span><a href="https://www.salesforceben.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Salesforce Ben</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8216;s Courses &amp; Community Director and 11X Salesforce-Certified Evangelist </span><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/christine-marshall-b4860756/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Christine Marshall</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> about some of her favorite new features. Here are the six she selected for AdVic®.</span></p>
<h3>1. <a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_dynamic_forms_standard_objects.htm&amp;release=246&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Dynamic Forms for Standard Objects and Mobile</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Note: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dynamic Forms is now supported on hundreds of LWC-enabled standard objects. Dynamic Forms gives you a streamlined admin experience, enhanced page performance, and the option of visibility rules so your users see only what they need when they need it. But until now, you could use Dynamic Forms only on custom objects and a limited number of standard objects. </span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dynamic Forms is supported for most but not all standard LWC-enabled objects. If you open a record page for an object in the Lightning App Builder and don’t see a Fields tab in the component panel, then Dynamic Forms isn&#8217;t supported for that object. As an example, the Note object doesn’t support Dynamic Forms because it has a fixed layout.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dynamic Forms isn’t supported on objects that aren’t LWC-enabled. For example, Campaigns, Products, and Tasks still use information from page layout.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignright size-full wp-image-20761" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Dynamic-Forms-for-Standard-Objects-and-Mobile.png" alt="Highlights From Salesforce Winter '24 Release - Dynamic Forms - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="1600" height="752" /></p>
<p> </p>
<h3>2. <a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_rd_dashboards_change_owner.htm&amp;release=246&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Transfer Dashboard Ownership</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Note: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Enable ongoing updates to Lightning dashboards by transferring dashboard ownership when responsibilities change or the dashboard creator leaves your organization. The new owner has full control over the dashboard contents. Previously you had to clone or recreate the dashboard when the creator moved on to other responsibilities.</span></p>
<p><b>Where: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.</span></p>
<p><b>Who: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">To use this feature, you must have the View All Data or the View My Team&#8217;s Dashboard permission. View All Data allows you to change the owner to anyone in your org. View My Team’s Dashboards allows you to change the owner from and to anyone who rolls up to you in your team’s Role Hierarchy. You must also have edit or manage access to the folder that contains the dashboard. The new owner is granted edit access to the dashboard folder.</span></p>
<p><b>How: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Reports and Dashboards Settings, then select Reports and Dashboards Settings. On the Reports and Dashboards Settings page, select Allow users to change dashboard owner (Lightning Experience Only). Then from the Dashboards tab or the open dashboard, select Change Owner.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-20762 size-full" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Transfer-Dashboard.png" alt="Highlights From Salesforce's Winter '24 Release - Transfer Dashboard Ownership - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="802" height="358" /></p>
<h3>3. <a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_rd_dashboards_summary_formula_functions.htm&amp;release=246&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Preview Summary Formulas in Lightning Reports</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Note: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">See at a glance how a summary formula that includes the PARENTGROUPVAL or PREVGROUPVAL function will be used in your Lightning report. When you select grouping options in the enhanced summary formula builder, the preview image updates instantly to show how the formula applies to the report. This feature was previously available only in Salesforce Classic and is now available in Lightning Experience.</span></p>
<p><b>Where:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This change applies to Lightning Experience in Group, Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer editions.</span></p>
<p><b>How:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Edit a report that has the groupings that you want to compare. In the summary formula builder, select the PARENTGROUPVAL or PREVGROUPVAL function. In the Display area (1), configure how to apply the formula, using the preview image as a reference. Then in the Function panel (2), select the group parameter values to include. When you insert the function into the formula (3), the selected parameters are included.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignright size-full wp-image-20763" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Preview-Summary.png" alt="Highlights From Salesforce's Winter '24 Release - Preview Summary Formulas in Lightning Reports - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="1828" height="1306" /></p>
<h3>4. <a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_permissions.htm&amp;release=246&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Permissions</b></a></h3>
<p><b></b><b>Salesforce Note: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Create reports to see custom permission set and permission set group assignments. See object and field API names in permission sets and recalculate permission set groups. See specific examples </span><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_permissions.htm&amp;release=246&amp;type=5"><span style="font-weight: 400;">here</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>

<h3>5. <a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sales_forecasts_ui_enhancements.htm&amp;release=246&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Forecasts</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Note: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Unlock your sales potential with the updated forecasts page. Design enhancements make forecast data easier to read and the page simpler to navigate.</span></p>
<p><b>Where:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This change applies to Lightning Experience in Professional, Performance, and Developer editions and in Enterprise and Unlimited editions with the Sales Cloud.</span></p>
<p><b>Why:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> Get a clearer view of your forecasts page with these design enhancements.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-20765 size-full" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/Forecasts.png" alt="Highlights From Salesforce's Winter '24 Release - Forecasts - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="1002" height="464" /></p>
<h3><b>6. Intelligence View for </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sales_leads_intelligence_view.htm&amp;release=246&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Leads</b></a><b> and </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_sales_contacts_intelligence_view.htm&amp;release=246&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Contacts</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Note &#8211; Intelligence View Leads: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Users can view lead activities, take action, and update records, all in one place in the Lead Intelligence View. Previously, Lead Home provided only simple list views and required users to navigate to individual records to take action.</span></p>
<p><b>Where:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This change applies to Lightning Experience in All Editions.</span></p>
<p><b>Why:</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> In the Lead Intelligence View, users can quickly filter their leads, see aggregate activity statistics for the resulting records, and take action to reach out, right from the lead home page. To see detailed activity for individual records, users can click the side panel icon next to the record name.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Salesforce understands that your business continues to innovate and evolve, as it should. To support your goals, they are once again releasing new features and upgrades to all of their clouds so you can more effectively and efficiently stay relative. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Depending on your instance of Salesforce</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">®</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">, the first main release weekend for the </span><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.salesforce_release_notes.htm&amp;release=244&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Summer &#8217;23 Release</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> is May 19, with subsequent release weekends scheduled for June 2 and June 9.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">To help get you ready for the release &#8211; on a recent AdVic</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">®</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> “Salesforce Simplified” <a href="/blog/podcast-highlights-from-the-salesforce-summer-23-release/">podcast </a></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">&nbsp;&#8211; we spoke with </span><a href="https://www.salesforceben.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Salesforce Ben</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8216;s Courses &amp; Community Director and 7X Salesforce-Certified Evangelist </span><a href="https://bit.ly/3UI8jjK" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Christine Marshall</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> about some of </span><a href="https://www.salesforceben.com/10-hottest-salesforce-summer-23-features-for-admins/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span style="font-weight: 400;">her favorite new features</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;"> in the Salesforce Summer &#8217;23 Release. Here are the</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">eight she selected for AdVic</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">®</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">:&nbsp;</span></p>
<h3><b>1. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_dynamic_forms_mobile_beta.htm&amp;release=244&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Dynamic Forms for Mobile (Beta)</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">With Dynamic Forms, you can add and remove fields individually from a Lightning record page, break up record details into multiple sections, and set conditional visibility rules for fields and field sections, all in Lightning App Builder. Previously, Dynamic Forms was available only on desktop. Now, with Dynamic Forms on Mobile (beta), your mobile users can have the same customized experience that your desktop users have</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-20359 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Dynamic-Forms-for-Mobile-Beta.png" alt="Dynamic Forms for Mobile (Beta) - Salesforce Summer Release 2023 - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="1642" height="290"></p>
<h3><b>2. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_lab_df_field_section_enhancements.htm&amp;release=244&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Align Fields Horizontally in Field Sections</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Control field alignment across columns by using a new property on Dynamic Forms Field Section components. The Align fields horizontally property prevents fields in multicolumn Field Sections from collapsing upward when there’s a gap due to differences in field heights. Fields remain horizontally aligned with their neighbors in the same row. But even with this property selected, if a field is hidden because of visibility rules, the fields in its column still collapse upward to fill the empty space.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-20360 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Align-Fields-Horizontally-in-Field-Sections.png" alt="Align Fields Horizontally in Field Sections - Salesforce Summer 2023 Release - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="326" height="267"></p>
<h3><b>3. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_rd_dashboards_enhanced_widgets.htm&amp;release=244&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Enhance Your Visualizations With Images, Rich Text, and Dashboard Widgets</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Explain Lightning dashboard charts, describe metrics and KPIs, and clarify tables with rich text right where users need it. Add company logos and branding, flow diagrams, and embedded images. Guide users through their data with section titles, narrative text, and even animated GIFs. Components are now called widgets in Unlimited Edition. Dashboards now support up to 25 widgets, including a maximum of 20 charts and tables, 2 images, and 25 rich text widgets. The previous limit was 20 in total.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-20361 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Enhance-Your-Visualizations-With-Images.png" alt="Enhance Your Visualizations With Images, Rich Text, and Dashboard Widgets - Salesforce Summer 2023 Release - AdVic Salesforce Blog" width="862" height="520"></p>
<h3><b>4. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_permissions_field_security_perm_set.htm&amp;release=244&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Set Field-Level Security for a Field on Permission Sets Instead of Profiles (Generally Available)</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">When you create a field, set its field-level security on permission sets instead of profiles. Or, modify the field-level security for an existing field for all permission sets in Object Manager. This change makes it easier to follow the user access control best practice of using permission sets to manage your users’ permissions rather than profiles. This feature, now generally available, includes an enhancement so that you can see each permission set’s object permissions for the field’s object without leaving the page.</span></p>
<h3><b>5. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_permissions_user_access_policies_beta.htm&amp;release=244&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Automate and Migrate User Access With User Access Policies (Beta)</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Automate your users’ assignments to managed package licenses, permission sets, and other access mechanisms based on criteria that you set. Create user access policies that automatically grant or remove access whenever users are created or updated. Or, easily migrate large sets of users to a new access setup in a single operation. Previously, Salesforce enabled user access policies, but you can now enable this beta feature on the User Management Settings Setup page. Also since the last release, you can now set more complex user criteria and monitor recent user access changes.</span></p>
<h3><b>6. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_customization_general_related_list_quick_actions.htm&amp;release=244&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Boost Productivity With Mass Quick Actions on Related Lists (Beta) &amp; Get Better Performance for Related Lists</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Save your users time by decluttering the actions in the highlights panel and adding quick actions directly on related lists. Your users can create related records for items in the list without leaving the page. Or they can select up to 100 records in the related list and perform mass updates instead of single record updates.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-20362 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Boost-Productivity-With-Mass-Quick-Actions.png" alt="Boost Productivity With Mass Quick Actions on Related Lists (Beta) &amp; Get Better Performance for Related Lists - Salesforce Summer 2023 Release - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="802" height="468"></p>
<h3><b>7. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_service_email_editor_update.htm&amp;release=244&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>New Email Composer in Open Beta</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">When enabled, this release update replaces the email editor in the docked and case feed email composers. The new email editor is available in Lightning Experience as a beta feature.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-20363 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/New-Email-Composer-in-Open-Beta.webp" alt="New Email Composer in Open Beta - Salesforce Summer 2023 Release - AdVic Salesforce Blog" width="768" height="432"></p>
<h3><b>8. </b><a href="https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_guidance_record_field_targeting.htm&amp;release=244&amp;type=5" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><b>Provide More Detailed In-App Guidance With Targeted Prompts on Record Fields</b></a></h3>
<p><b>Salesforce Notes: </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Add more granular, specific guidance for users who onboard to your Salesforce implementation. You can now target any field on a record page, dynamic form, or the Create window in a targeted prompt that you create with In-App Guidance Builder.</span></p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-20364 aligncenter" src="https://www.advictoriamsolutions.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Provide-More-Detailed-In-App-Guidance.png" alt="Provide More Detailed In-App Guidance With Targeted Prompts on Record Fields - Salesforce Summer 2023 Release - Ad Victoriam Salesforce Blog" width="911" height="552"></p>
